Client: Major St. Louis based global corporation operating over 350 manufacturing facilities with annul revenue over $19 B employing over 15,000.
Overview:
Seeking candidates for a manufacturing plant maintenance project and plant safety project.
Role:
- Responsible for equipment and plant layout design, energy conservation, development and implementation of capital program and key projects, general upkeep and improvement of plant facility, electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and address environmental issues.
- Work with cross-functional groups of employees and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects.
- Support and facilitates safety, health, quality and environmental objectives and fosters a work environment which promotes the facility to perform as ‘one of the safest companies in each market and business.
- Manage budgets for assigned projects.
- Perform development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Lead and manage assigned capital projects to include new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation projects, and maintenance related projects.
- Develop scope of work and evaluate bids for work completion.
- Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting.
- Apply working knowledge of engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and solid waste.
- Responsible for the cost schedule and performance of assigned projects.
- Understand and comply with all property accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution desired.
- 7 – 10+ years manufacturing plant capital project management experience.
- 7+ years of project budget cost management experience.
- Experienced creating project scope and managing bid process.
- Experienced managing the capital budget process from beginning to end.
- Experienced managing plant maintenance related projects.
- Experienced in environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and solid waste.
- Experienced managing multiple tasks/projects on an ongoing basis.
- working knowledge of the engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and solid waste.
- Strong understanding of engineering economics.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends on occasion as required.
